About the role


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Premium Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough insurance premium audits of payroll and or sales records, ensuring compliance with state or national regulations. The Auditor will play a crucial role in providing an accurate workers' compensation and general liability audits identifying payroll or sales and properly classifying the exposure. Travel is required in the auditors' home territory which is normally a one-hour radius of their home. The option of travel throughout Pennsylvania as needed is available. All auditors are based out of their home office and must reside in Pennsylvania.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial records and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Utilize statistical and quantitative analysis techniques to evaluate data and support audit findings.
  • Collaborate with various policyholders to gather relevant data for analysis, including payroll reports, financial reports, state and federal filings.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in auditing and finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associates' degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in data collection methods and tools..
  • Solid understanding of underwriting processes and principles.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey audit findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
