Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with a strong background in the finance environment to support the Office of the CFO. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can write, review, and refine complex documentation with clarity and precision. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets high standards of accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

All parties must be local to Washington, DC, as this is an on-site role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of project documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with financial and regulatory standards.
- Draft, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation, including procedures, policies, workflows, and reports for the CFO’s office.
- Provide strategic guidance on documentation structure and content to ensure consistency and readability across all materials.
- Recommend and implement best practices for documentation processes and standards.
- Collaborate closely with C-Suite executives and senior stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the development of documentation strategies that enhance transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in a finance, compliance, or government contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of financial terminology, reporting structures, and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience working with executive leadership and managing sensitive or confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Adobe Acrobat, Visio).
- Familiarity with EEO, federal contracting, or public sector documentation standards is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting documentation for CFO or finance departments
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
