About the role


**Real Estate / Legal Assistant**

An established small law firm in Cranford, NJ is seeking a sharp, dependable Real Estate/Legal Assistant to join a fast-paced and client-focused practice. This is 22-26 hours a week, in-office position that is ideal for someone with a legal assistant background who thrives on organization, precision, and getting things done.

  • *What You'll Do**
  • Draft, review, and manage real estate purchase and sale contracts, draft closing sale documents, and legal correspondence
  • Coordinate transactions from receiving a contract to closing, tracking deadlines and ensuring compliance
  • Communicate with clients, title companies, lenders, and other attorneys on behalf of the office
  • Maintain and organize and open case files, digital records, and document management systems
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and handle general administrative duties

* Help out in other areas of the practice when needed

  • *What We're Looking For**
  • 2+ years of experience with real estate closings is preferable
  • Solid understanding of real estate law, contracts, and closing processes/procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email; experience with legal/real estate software is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Professional, client/staff -friendly demeanor. A good attitude is critical.
