Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote

Work Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 Annually (based on location and experience)

ABOUT THE POSITION
TIVC is seeking a motivated and adaptable Human Resources professional who is eager to take ownership of day-to-day HR operations and grow with the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on contributor who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong initiative, and is interested in developing their HR expertise while supporting a growing business. This role is well-suited for an individual who is looking to expand their experience across multiple areas of HR and build a long-term career path with the company.
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for executing day-to-day human resources functions, supporting employees, and maintaining HR processes in alignment with company policies and operational needs.

This role is execution-focused and supports HR operations, recruiting, employee support, and compliance activities. Strategic HR direction, policy decisions, and complex employee relations matters are managed in coordination with company leadership. This position operates within standard business hours; after-hours or urgent HR matters are escalated to leadership as appropriate. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Execute core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee support, and HR recordkeeping
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
  • Coordinate with HR vendors to support benefits administration, payroll processing, and HRIS functionality; monitor vendor performance and escalate issues, renewals, and strategic decisions to leadership
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions
  • Maintain HR systems and personnel records in compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Monitor and support compliance with employment laws; maintain required documentation
  • Prepare and maintain required employment and government compliance reports (e.g., VETS-4212, EEO-1), including data collection, validation, and submission support; track reporting deadlines and coordinate review with leadership
  • Identify and escalate compliance risks or complex employee issues to leadership
  • Support employee relations and escalate higher risk matters as needed
  • Support performance management processes and documentation
  • Administer employee benefits and assist with enrollment and inquiries
  • Support compensation tracking in alignment with company policies
  • Support payroll processing; prepare and audit payroll inputs, including employee status changes, compensation updates, and deductions; coordinate with leadership for review and final processing
  • Assist with HR policy updates and implementation
  • Coordinate HR support during contract startup and hiring efforts
  • Provide HR administrative support to leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 4 – 7 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in small/mid-sized organizations
  • Experience in government contracting environment preferred
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience with HRIS systems required; experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platform strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment laws
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
