About the role


Interim Credit Decisioning Rules Engineer (Python) | Remote | $50-$60/hr

We are partnering with a client on an interim contract role supporting credit card and consumer loan decisioning.
This role sits within a marketing and eligibility channel where members opt in to have their credit data evaluated against partner banks.
Those partners encode approval and eligibility rules directly into the client's platform, and this role helps ensure those rules are accurately implemented and maintained.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and update credit card and consumer loan decisioning rules
  • Translate stakeholder and partner requests into Python-based validation logic
  • Work tickets end-to-end, managing throughput and on-time delivery
  • Handle data validation and transformation using Python
  • Collaborate closely with peers in a supportive, knowledge-sharing environment
  • What We're Looking For
  • Strong Python experience, including pandas, dataframes, and NumPy
  • Functional knowledge of banking products, especially credit cards and credit bureau data
  • Experience working in ticket-driven environments
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Experian PowerCurve rules experience is a strong plus
